Soda blasting is a process in which sodium bicarbonate is applied against a surface using compressed air. Soda blasting is a non-destructive method for many applications in cleaning, paint stripping, car restoration, industrial equipment maintenance, rust removal, graffiti removal, molecular steel passivation against rust, oil removal by saponification and translocation, masonry cleaning and restoration, soot remediation, boat hull cleaning and for food processing facilities and equipment.
Soda Blasting is a process that can strip almost any surface in an efficient and safe manner. Although it is similar to traditional sandblasting, it has the significant advantage of cleaning the surface without causing harm to the substrate or the environment. Soda Blasting easily removes paint, coatings, carbon, grease, oils, gasket material and surface corrosion from a variety of metals, alloys, plastics and composites without substrate damage or distortion. Soda Blasting leaves hard anodized coatings intact.Soda Blasting is the latest, greenest technology to safely clean nearly any surface.
The Soda Blasting machine uses a high volume of compressed air to deliver bicarbonate of soda-blasting media (baking soda) onto the surface to be cleaned. The baking soda is a crystalized commercial grade form. Unlike our competitors we use absolutely pure baking soda with no flow additives which could contaminate the surface and cause paint failure. Similar in concept to sand blasting, Baking Soda Blasting is much kinder and gentler to the underlying surface and the environment.The process is gentle enough to remove the coating without harming the substrate.
Virtually any coating can be removed from most any surface. Soda blast media is FDA approved, non-toxic, and contains no free silica: it is non-sparking, non-flammable, non-hazardous, and environmentally safe.


Sodablasting can be used for cleaning cars, boat hulls, masonry, and food processing equipment. Sodablasting can also be used to remove graffiti[2] and to clean structural steel. Soda blasting is very effective for mold and fire/smoke damage cleanup as it cleans and deodorizes.


soda blaster is a self-contained system that includes a blast generator, high pressure compressed air, moisture decontamination system, blast hose, and a blast nozzle. The blast nozzle in sodablasting applications is not a typical wear part, as a result nozzles can be ceramic or metal, such as tungsten carbide. The blasting material consists of formulated sodium bicarbonate (also known as baking soda). Blasting soda is an extremely friable material that has micro fragmentation on impact, literally exploding away surface materials without damage to the substrate.
